General Pest Control

Ants

Ants are often found around the exterior of homes near doorways/steps, kitchens and bathrooms. Exterior treatments include perimeter spraying with Premise, Phantom or Termidor. When spraying isn't the best option, Intice Granular Ant Bait is distributed around the property for ants to feed on and take back to the nest.

Interior products consist of Gourmet Ant Bait, Phantom or Maxforce Ant Bait. These products enable ants to feed on bait and eliminate the colony.

Bees, Wasps and Hornets

Bees, wasps, and hornets often dwell near homes and offices. Due to allergenic reaction certain individuals  may have to bee stings, we have an arsenal of products to deal with this situation. Talstar , Tempo and Cypermethrin are just a few products to mention. Treating hives/nests with these products, as well as destroying actual cones, will ensure your family's safety. 

Crickets, Spiders, Centipedes, etc...

Camel crickets and spiders are a very common problem in New Jersey. They are both controlled by exterior perimeter spraying of Tempo, Talstar or Cynoff. The building foundation and surrounding soil is the primary treatment for crickets and centipedes. Soffits and building corners are more common target areas for spiders. These pests can also enter the home if not treated. Basements and garages are the most common area you will find these insects. Exterior and interior treatment applications will eliminate this problem.

Roaches

Roaches are a serious problem in and around the home. Apartment complexes are prime targets for roach infestation due to the common wall structure and shared plumbing. Roaches travel and multiply very rapidly. It is imperative to have a thorough inspection and treatment completed, including a follow-up visit, to successfully remove this infestation. Some products used in roach elimination are Talstar, Phantom, InTice Gel, Advion and Transport Gel.

Thorough inspections are very important with bed bug infestations. These intruders can travel and multiply rapidly throughout apartment buildings and hotels.

Fleas and Ticks

Fleas and ticks can be another potentially serious problem around the home. Pets bring in a variety of annoying, as well as harmful insects. Fleas need prompt attention with fogging or spray treatment with Precor, to kill active fleas and all eggs that can become a problem later.  Exterior treatment for both fleas and ticks can be achieved successfully by a power spray of Tempo, Talstar, or Merit. Typically two treatments are needed to control tick infestations.

Rodent Control

Mice and rat control is an additional service we provide for your home and/or business. These rodents carry disease and must be removed from buildings. RTU'S and Protecta bait stations filled with Fastrac BLOX, Talen Weather BLOX or Maki Mini BLOX blocks the same way. These rodents can also damage the walls and wires in the home if not tended to immediately.

Moles are another uninvited visitor that can cause costly damage to the property. Swift action must be taken to minimize damage once moles are discovered. Talpirid is the bait of choice to eliminate these destructive pests.

Squirrels and chipmunks are also considered rodents and have sharp incisors they use to gnaw wood to gain access to your home in search of food or a nesting place.  These rodents transmit disease and can damage food and food packaging.  Havahart^� trapping of the rodent is step 1 in remediation.  Step 2 is to seal up entry point to prevent further access to the structure.

Turf Care

In addition to termite and pest control, Stephen's Exterminating, LLC offers many additional services which include turf care and weed control. We offer a year round service program to keep your lawn green and plush with balanced fertilizers, weed and insect control, in addition to fungicide applications. Quality service with quality products at reasonable prices are a sure hit with the homeowner. One of the most overlooked yet environmentally conscience, is turf aerating. This process involves pulling soil plugs out and getting air into the ground to allow your turf to grow healthy and productive. Please note that the turf enhancement program is done without chemicals.
